Itinerary

Day 1 Athens – Corinth – Olympia Ancient Stadium

After having experienced the capital of Greece and cultural capital of Europe, Athens (independently), our tour leader will come and pick you up at your hotel in Athens. We will begin this amazing journey by driving towards Corinth, located in the north-eastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. Our first stop will be Corinth Canal, a narrow waterway that connects the Ionian and Aegean seas. The views from the bridge are stunning. Our next destination will be the ancient Olympia stadium, the site of the first Olympic Games held in 776 BC. After arriving in Olympia, travel back in time to the site of the first Olympic Games Stadium and ancient Olympia. We will visit the temple of Zeus largest temple in the Peloponnese and Hera, where the modern-day flame still burns during Olympic Games. Feel free to explore at your own and have a short visit to the village of Olympia for shopping or a traditional meal. Overnight near ancient Olympia.

Right after breakfast we will head to Kyllini port and get ready for our Greek island adventure. We will hop to the ferry for Zakynthos Island. The so-called Zante is among the most popular and most beautiful islands in Greece. The island is famous for its natural beauty, crystal clear waters, and amazing sunsets. During these days you will be able to admire the villages, gastronomy, the olive groves, pines and its cliffs, the phenomenal beaches and blue caves that combine mountain and sea. The ferry ride takes around 1hour and 15 minutes to arrive to Zante port. After arriving in Zakynthos Island, discover and explore the splendid island of the Ionian Sea on your leisure and get a taste of what you will be experiencing the next day. Overnight in Zakynthos.

We will start our adventure on the island by exploring the famous viewpoint of Shipwreck of Navagio. The Shipwreck is one of the most photographed sights in Greece. The most popular postcard photos of Shipwreck Beach come from the top of the 200 meter tall cliffs that overlook the bay. On our way, we will already catch a glimpse of the sea and of the amazing landscape which surrounds this bay. You will have some time to get your perfect Instagram picture of Shipwreck of Navagio.
The island is known for its natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, vibrant Mediterranean culture, delicious cuisine, and the protected Loggerhead Sea turtles. During our time on the island, you can explore charming villages, visit local tavernas, sample traditional Greek dishes, and soak in the unique atmosphere that makes Zakynthos so special.
In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel, giving you the opportunity to relax or continue exploring the island at your own pace. Overnight in Zakynthos

Day 4 Zakynthos – Ferry to Kyllini – Patras

Today, we will enjoy a leisurely morning on Zakynthos, giving you time to relax and soak in the island’s beautiful scenery before departing. Later we will take the ferry form Zakynthos to Kyllini. After reaching Kyllini port we will drive towards the town of Patras.
We will explore the bustling city center, with its charming streets, colorful squares, and local shops. While we stroll along the scenic seaside promenade, enjoy the cafés and tavernas serving delicious Greek cuisine, and soak in the energetic atmosphere of this historic port city.
Patras is a city steeped in history and culture. We will admire the Roman Odeon, an ancient open-air theatre that dates back to the 2nd century AD, and visit Patras Castle, a Byzantine fortress offering panoramic views over the city and the sea.
While in Patras we will admire the Charilaos Trikoupis Rio-Antirrio Bridge, the world’s longest multi-span cable-stayed bridge. This bridge connects Peloponnese peninsula with mainland Greece, previously reached only by ferry. You will have time to explore the city at your own pace and experience its unique mix of history, culture, and coastal charm. Overnight in Patras

Day 5 Patras – Preveza – Parga – Igoumentisa – Ferry to Corfu Island

After breakfast, we will depart towards our next destination, Preveza, enjoying a scenic drive that takes us across the impressive 2,880-meter-long bridge. Present day Preveza was built on the site of ancient Vereniki town, founded by Pyrrhus, the King of Epirus in 290 BC. The town has everything that tourists are looking for from the winding cobbled streets full of quaint stores, to delightful cafes shaded by vines and taverns. We will stroll along the harbour and the old town, admiring the traditional buildings, followed by a walk along the seaside enjoying its island-like atmosphere.
Next, we will continue to Parga, one of the most picturesque towns on the Epirus coastline. Known for its colorful hillside houses, charming harbor, and Venetian castle overlooking the town, Parga captures the timeless beauty and romantic spirit of Greece. Have some free time to explore the narrow streets, browse local artisan shops, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Ionian Sea.
We will then continue to Igoumenitsa to board the ferry for Corfu Island, enjoying a scenic and pleasant sea crossing. Overnight in Corfu Island

Today we will explore Kerkira (Corfu Town), a charming city that beautifully preserves its Venetian-style historic center. The old town earned UNESCO World Heritage status in 2007, praised for its unique blend of Venetian, French, and British architectural influences.

Our guided walking tour will take us through the narrow cobbled streets, past elegant squares, bustling local markets, and hidden fountains tucked away in quiet corners. We will visit the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, the former residence of the British Lord High Commissioner, and learn about its rich history and impressive architecture. Along the way, you will see the old city walls, charming alleys, and picturesque squares, providing countless photo opportunities and a true feel of Corfu’s vibrant past.
In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the island on your own pace. You can browse the boutique shops for local crafts, jewellery, and souvenirs or stroll along the harbour promenade, enjoying views of the turquoise waters and elegant yachts. Overnight in Corfu Island

Day 7 Corfu – Igoumentisa – Meteora (Kalabaka)

After exploring the enchanting Ionian islands, we will take the ferry back from Corfu to Igoumenitsa and continue our journey to Meteora, one of Greece’s most extraordinary destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating back to the 14th–15th centuries, the monasteries of Meteora are built on top of the spectacular rock formations, creating a beautiful and impressive sight. Their extraordinary architecture combined with the dramatic landscape makes them a stunning testament to both human creativity and the power of nature.
Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to explore two of these historic monasteries, walking among the ancient chapels decorated with centuries-old frescoes. The unique combination of spirituality and history creates an awe-inspiring atmosphere that is unlike anywhere else in the world.

From Kalabaka, we will head toward our final destination, Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological treasures of the ancient Greek world. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was once considered the center of the world and home to the legendary Oracle, where ancient leaders asked guidance for centuries.
This ancient Greek archaeological site is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world, including multiple monuments such as the Temple of Apollo, the Castallian Fountain and the Large Sphynx of Naxos. You will be astonished by Treasury of the Athenians, the Theatre, the Stadium and the Museum with the famous statue of Antinoos and the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer dated from 475 B.C. After this unforgettable journey through centuries of mythology, history, and culture, we will continue our drive back to Athens. Arriving in the capital marks the end of this amazing tour through the highlights of Greek history and Ionian islands
