Benvenuti a Roma! After your arrival in Rome, you will make your own way to the hotel already booked for you by Choose Balkans, where you will be welcomed by hotel staff assisting you with the check in procedures. After freshening up and settling in, spend your first day exploring the city at your own pace. As the saying goes; "All roads lead to Rome". So here you are, at the heart of ancient Rome; take this opportunity to wander through the enchanting streets and immerse yourself in the vibrant life of the city. Find a bustling café to savor an espresso and cannoli (filled pastry) while soaking in the Italian charm. Overnight in Rome.

Leaving Rome, we will drive one of the most scenic drives in the world reaching Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO listed site comprised of 13 towns and villages beaches. One look at the Amalfi Coast and you may believe that you've found heaven on earth. Its high cliffs, enchanting coves, small bays and terraces with citrus fruits, vines and olive trees, make it one of the most popular destinations in the world. Amalfi's townscape is characterized by the little white houses and buildings and narrow paths dominated by large Duomo Cathedral with its brightly colored tiles which are typical of the region. We spend the morning sightseeing, relaxing in one of its sun-filled piazzas. You will be amazed by the spectacular strip of coastline with the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea to one side and the peaks of the Lattari Mountains to the other. Overnight near Salerno.

Today we cross into Puglia Region. Our first visit will be Polignano a Mare, a pearl overlooking the Adriatic Sea. With its sheer cliffs, sea caves and enchanting historic center Polignano a Mare is a picture-postcard place that will capture your heart. The tiny old town, combines charming, white-washed streets with beautiful old churches such as the Chiesa Matrice.
Polignano is famous for three things; First of all is cliff diving, second is its outstanding ice cream and the third is the great Domenico Modugno, who wrote and sang the massive international classical hit, Volare. We will have some free time in Polignano to stroll through the narrow white streets, admire the traditional architecture, enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline and you must try the “Special Coffee” of Polignano a Mare. Our next destination will be Bari, the capital of the Apulia region which offers a combination of rich of history, culture, and local flavor. We will explore the city of Bari, known for its historic Bari Vecchia (Old Town), beautiful seafront, and delicious cuisine. You will have some free time to explore Bari and wander through its narrow, winding streets, where you'll encounter charming medieval architecture and lively local life. Do not miss a walk to Lungomare (seaside promenade) for a leisurely walk along the coast. Enjoy the fresh sea breeze and beautiful views of the Adriatic. Overnight in Bari

We set out from Bari and journey towards the enchanting town of Alberobello, known as the "city of Trulli." This fairy-tale town, also a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a must-see when visiting the Puglia region. Alberobello’s historic center is a charming maze of streets lined with unique Trulli houses (stone huts). We will visit the Rione Monti quarter, which is perched on a small hill and features over 1,000 Trulli—remarkable for its almost exclusive use of this traditional building style. You’ll have time to wander around and soak in the magic of Alberobello. Enjoy a meal at a local Trulli restaurant, savoring the region’s delicious cuisine, and perhaps pick up a unique souvenir from one of the local shops to remember your visit.
After having explore the city of Trulli, we will drive towards the fascinating Basilicata region, and visit Matera. You might recognize this historic town from the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die. Matera is renowned for its Sassi, a UNESCO World Heritage site comprising an intricate network of ancient cave dwellings. Upon arrival, we’ll head to Piazza Vittorio Veneto, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through this picturesque square and take in the stunning views of the city. After exploring Matera, we’ll drive towards Salerno. Overnight near Salerno

Today we will explore the vibrant city of Naples, the third-largest city in Italy. Situated along a lovely bay, Naples is known for its chaotic charm, narrow streets, and vibrant atmosphere. The town is full or Art, History, Music and Culture. Our first stop will be the grand Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the largest squares in Naples. You can admire the Royal Palace and the San Francesco di Paola church. Just off the Piazza del Plebiscito, we will visit the Galleria Umberto I, an impressive shopping arcade with stunning architecture. Later we will walk towards Quartieri Spagnoli, or the Spanish Quarters, is a historic and vibrant neighborhood in the heart of Naples, The Quartieri Spagnoli is home to many traditional Neapolitan restaurants and pizzerias. You can have some free time enjoy some of the best local cuisine here, including pizza, pasta, and street food. Later this day we drive towards Terni, have some free time to explore this charming Italian town on your own. Overnight in Terni

After breakfast, we will drive through the heart of Tuscany. As the saying goes, "In Tuscany, every hilltop is a painting, and every meal a masterpiece." Our first stop will be at a local winery, where you’ll have the chance to taste some of the region’s finest wines. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and savor a tasting of three exceptional wines from the area.
Following the winery visit, we’ll continue our journey to the capital of Tuscany, Florence (Firenze). Known for its cobbled streets, iconic museums, and stunning architecture, Florence is also home to the first banks, including the legendary Medici Bank, once the largest and most respected financial institution in Europe. During our time in the city, learn more about the powerful Medici family, whose influence helped shape Florence’s rich cultural, artistic, and architecture. Florence beautifully blends its rich history with vibrant modernity, making it one of Italy's most captivating cities. We will start our visit at Florence’s iconic Piazza del Duomo. This square is home to some of the city's most famous landmarks, including the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), Giotto’s Campanile (the bell tower), and the Baptistery of St. John.
After we take a short walk to the famous Ponte Vecchio. This medieval stone bridge, lined with jewelry shops, offers a picturesque view of the Arno River and It’s one of Florence’s most photographed landmarks. Have some free time exploring its art treasures. No visit to Florence is complete without visiting the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous art museums in the world. The collections of paintings from the 14th-century and Renaissance period include some absolute masterpieces from Michelangelo; Giotto, Simone Martini, Botticelli, etc.
In the late afternoon enjoying a glass of wine from the famous “Buchetta del vino (wine window)” or simply admiring the beauty of its architecture. Florence never fails to leave a lasting impression. Overnight in Florence.

Day 7 Florence – Pisa – Parma – Milan

Today we will drive to the iconic city of Pisa, home to one of the most famous landmarks in the world, the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We will visit the Piazza dei Miracoli, the square where the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Baptistery of St. John are located. Don’t forget to snap the classic photo of the Leaning Tower and marvel at the beauty of this architectural complex. Later we head towards Parma, known as the capital of the Food Valley. Considered by many to be a little Paris because of its refined appearance, Parma is not only a city of culture, theatre and music, but also a UNESCO Creative City for gastronomy in Italy. We will visit Piazza Duomo at the heart of the city. Here, we will pass by the magnificent Cathedral of Parma, an exquisite example of Romanesque architecture. Located right next to the cathedral, the Baptistery of Parma is another architectural gem, built in pink Verona marble.
Parma is the birthplace of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Parma, and tortelli d'erbetta (a traditional stuffed pasta). Have some free time to stop by a local cheese-making workshop or enjoy a traditional meal at one of the city’s trattorias. After our visit in Parma, we’ll continue our journey towards Milan, Italy's fashion and design capital.
The evening will be yours to explore Milan further. Whether you prefer shopping in Milan's chic districts, enjoying an aperitivo in a stylish café, or trying Milanese cuisine in a local trattoria, the city offers everything. Overnight in Milan

After breakfast we will hop on the Train to visit one of Italy's most famous and picturesque destinations: Lake Como. Known for its crystal-clear waters, stunning mountain and charming lakeside villages. We will take a leisurely walk through the charming streets, exploring the Piazza del Duomo with its grand cathedral, the Como Cathedral (Duomo di Como), and the lovely Piazza Cavour, where you can enjoy the view of the lake. Have some free time to enjoy lunch by the lake side, explore Como's historical quarter, relax with a cappuccino or take the funicular for an amazing view. On the afternoon we will drive back to Milan. Upon arriving we will visit the stunning Duomo di Milano, one of the largest and most impressive Gothic cathedrals in Europe. Next, we’ll stroll through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, an upscale shopping gallery featuring luxury boutiques and beautiful architecture. We’ll also pass by Piazza della Scala, home to the world-famous Teatro alla Scala opera house. Overnight in Milan.

Today we’ll head out from Milan towards Sirmione, a beautiful town on the southern tip of Lake Garda. Upon arrival in Sirmione, we will take a relaxing stroll through this charming town, which is known for its narrow, cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and stunning lakeside views. After exploring Sirmione, we’ll continue our journey towards the romantic city of Verona, the city famously known for being the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The highlight of our visit to Verona is the Casa di Giulietta, the supposed home of Juliet, with the famous balcony where Romeo once declared his love. Don’t forget to take a photo at the bronze statue of Juliet, and if you wish, leave a love note on the walls nearby. In Verona, we’ll pass by the Arena di Verona, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. It still hosts grand operas and concerts today. From there, we will walk through the charming streets to Piazza delle Erbe, a lively square surrounded by historic buildings, cafes, and shops. We will have some free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch in Verona. You can choose from a variety of restaurants offering local specialties such as Risotto all’Amarone (a rich rice dish made with local wine), Bigoli (thick pasta), and a variety of fresh cheeses and meats. Verona is known for its authentic cuisine, so this is a great opportunity to indulge in a true Italian meal. After free time in Verona, we’ll drive to Padua, a city rich in history and art. Get ready for an exciting day that will take you to Venice, one of the world’s most unique cities, and then to San Marino, one of the oldest republics in the world. We will leave Padua and head to Venice, Italy’s iconic city built on a network of canals. We will start our visit by heading to Piazza San Marco, the heart of Venice, where you'll be surrounded by architectural wonders of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. We will take a leisurely walk through the Piazza San Marco area to the Rialto Bridge, one of Venice’s most famous landmarks. The bridge spans the Grand Canal and is lined with shops selling everything from souvenirs to luxury goods. Have some free time for a classic gondola ride or simply wander the narrow streets of Venice.
Later we will leave Venice and head towards San Marino, one of the smallest and oldest countries in the Europe. Arriving in San Marino, you’ll be amazed by this medieval walled city perched on Mount Titano. The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its cobbled streets and stone buildings give you the feeling of stepping back in time. We will explore the Piazza della Libertà, the main square of the city, where you can see the Palazzo Pubblico, the government building, and enjoy the view of the valley below. San Marino’s narrow streets are perfect for a leisurely walk, and you’ll find plenty of charming shops offering local products like ceramics, woolen goods, and liqueurs. Overnight near San Marino.

Today we will drive through central Italy and head towards Assisi, a charming UNESCO site, where the streets are steeped in history and medieval charm. Our first stop will be Basilica of St. Francis, a masterpiece of medieval art and architecture. After visiting the basilica, we will head to the Piazza del Comune, the main square in Assisi, where we will visit the Temple of Minerva, a well-preserved Roman temple converted into the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. The square is lined with cafes and shops, making it the perfect place for a break. Enjoy the stunning views of the rolling hills and the peaceful atmosphere of the town. After some leisure time in Assisi, we’ll drive back to Rome. Overnight in Rome.

Get ready to embark on a delightful food tour and explore the neighbourhood of Trastevere, known for its lively nightlife, charming streets, and hidden culinary gems. Our tour begins at a bustling local market, where the air is filled with the irresistible aromas of fresh ingredients. At this stop, we will try all kinds of spreadable creams made of rich and unique flavors such as truffle, mushrooms and cheese. After sampling these treats, we raise a glass and toast to the day with a refreshing limoncello. Next, we step into a charming store renowned for its selection of local products from the Norcia region. Here, we will try fresh prosciutto, ham, and salamis. The store’s warm atmosphere and the quality of the products make this stop a highlight for any food enthusiast. Our local food tour adventure continues at a local pizzeria, where we’ll enjoy mouthwatering arancini—crispy rice balls that are a Roman specialty. We’ll then head to the next pizzeria to sample authentic Roman pizza, known for its super-crispy, thin crust. This classic pizza is simply topped with cheese, tomato, and a drizzle of fine olive oil, allowing the pure flavors to shine.
For our final stop, we’ll visit a gelateria to try authentic Italian gelato!
